Coastal Warnings
About Coastal Warnings
Coastal Warnings are issued in response to SOLAS V/2.b and carry information which may have a direct bearing on the safety of life at sea. It is the fundamental nature of the Coastal Warnings that they will often be based on incomplete or unconfirmed information and mariners will need to take this into account when deciding what reliance to place on the information contained therein. The availability of Coastal Warnings on this web does not relieve Masters/Captains of their responsibility to receive Coastal Warnings via IHO/IMO approved broadcast systems.
